What we have listened to today…
We’ve gone thru:
Thunder road
Streets of Philadelphia
Dancing in the dark
Hungry Heart,.. which gave me goose bumps and transported me to 1980 =D
and even some newer =D
Secret Garden
I anticipate that I’ll add to this as I go so please come back =D
Then I ran cross Fire,… and
Trapped and had to add it…
Darkness on the Edge of Town
Tougher Than The Rest
Brilliant Disguise
Land Of Hope And Dreams
The Promised Land
Cleaning up paperwork, sorting thru memories and trying to figure out what I’ll be when I grow up…. Been listening to a bunch of older Springsteen and this one just caught me off guard. So close to my soul right now,… =D
Bruce’s body of work have been a huge influence on me since the 70’s. The peak for me came as a young immigrant in CA at the Oakland Coliseum where we got tickets to the Born in the USA tour!!! I’d only been here enough time to road trip about 12ooo miles, starting in NY and arriving months later in Oakland for this concert. To see Bruce perform for hours, at that incredible energy level, with the down to earth, personal life experience messages was inspirational beyond words…. it changed my life path… =D
How do you beat the beginning of these lyrics from Racing In The Street,..?
“I got a sixty-nine Chevy with a 396
Fuelie heads and a Hurst on the floor
She’s waiting tonight down in the parking lot
Outside the Seven-Eleven store
Me and my partner Sonny built her straight out of scratch
And he rides with me from town to town
We only run for the money got no strings attached
We shut ’em up and then we shut ’em down”,….
Appreciate you coming to Customikes to hang for some shared memories =D
What’s your best of the best playlist?
