Customikes Vehicle Inspection Services really started with requests from friends and relatives that saw "great buys" online or in ads and then wanted us to check the vehicle out. This was done so that they did not buy and ship a a vehicle that was not as described.
Our 25+ years of vehicle restoration, collision repair management, both in the bodyshop and on the insurance claims side, concept vehicle development, and number of award winning show cars have taught us what to look for and what to look out for.
As an example, I grew up in Sweden (speak Swedish/ pratar Svenska) repairing more rust than I care to admit, but it also taught me what a bad repair looks like when not done right.

"When I sit in Sweden and look for cars online, it's important that you have a person who can inspect the car for me. For me it's obvious to hire Mikael Wallin, as he has many years of experience with cars. Recently I asked Mike to check out a T-Bird for me. I have had contact with the owner for two months. He has sent me a large amount of pictures of the car, and the car looked great in the pictures. So I asked Mikael to go and look at the vehicle.
The seller really had angled his pictures to his advantage, Mikael found a large amount of faults/damages that the seller had hidden. There was no purchase of this car AS LUCK HAS IT. Had I not hired Mikael, I would have a bad/in poor shape and expensive T-Bird in my yard, which I would not have liked. As I say, it does not matter how well the seller has hidden the problems, Mikael will find them anyway."
Most of us have heard the horror stories about the nice shiny vehicle in the picture turning out to need a complete restoration because of all the covered up rust, vermin eaten wiring and upholstery, poor condition, mechanical components, etc.
We have saved several customers and friends from buying anything from "bondo'd up rust buckets" to refurbished (quickie paintjob) vehicles. Many times the vehicles described by the owner/seller as "one owner, never in a wreck, low miler cars etc." turn out to not be even remotely as described.

Many times we have looked at some really nice vehicles for customers, confirmed vehicle condition with the buyer over the phone, negotiated on the spot, and managed transportation to the buyer or their international shipping company.
This service provides peace of mind to the purchaser who no longer has to wait until the vehicle arrives. The service also includes a detailed report including multiple pictures that document the vehicle's condition pre-shipping.
We suggest that you provide the report to your insurance agent for an accurate vehicle condition description and documentation, should a transport issue arise, such as a crash, fire, vandalism and/or a ship sinking etc.

We will travel to your designated vehicle location and inspect it thoroughly, take multiple pictures, focus on any specific areas of concern that you have requested such as rust, collision damage, etc. and provide you with a detailed report.
These files are very large because of the detail in them so I took a couple of snap shots and pasted them on the bottom of the page.
