1955 Buick Century Special Mild Kustom
Owned by Jon Skovseth, this Custom Rod, Buick Special is getting basic metal work mild custom work and panel alignment done. Similarly to Mr Graves 1956 Ford Ranchwagon, we will show you some basic body repair including rust repairs, crash damages and mild customizing such as frenched antenna, nose'd, deck'd  and shaved. Satuday we kustomized the hood. Here's a couple of base line pix to give you an idea of where we started. More pix as we come along . We added frame repair pix on the bottom of the page:

Rolled into the shop the first night and Jon doing some clean up work happy as a clam;-)

Jon the proud Buick owner

The helper crew (my best work so far;-)

Today when we cleaned off the final bondo off the damaged quarter we realized that someone has used it for target practice ;-).

Yesterday we mocked up the lights and played with several different ways to install the Packard cathedral lights. We even had the bumper on upside down after we a ccidentally put it down on the ground that way. Now we need to brew on it for a while as we wait for the bumper to come back striped and straight from the chrome shop;-)

We're adding a rack and pinion to Jon's 55. Here a few pix showing thre column modifications and the rack mock up.

Jon helped with all the reinforcement plates for the motor mounts and cross memeber cut out needed for the 455 to clear.

Frame repairs at Platinim Coachworks in Covina. Very excited to have a square and flat foundation to continue the drivetrain mods on ;-)
